How Did You Obtain Your Power Engineering Firing Time?

Mustafa Ibrahim saw the post 4th Class Power Engineering Jobs For Steam Time which includes a poll where you can vote how you obtained your Power Engineering firing time towards your 4th Class certification.

He then asked “Hey Robbie I saw a poll on your website about where people got their steam time or firing time towards 4th Class. Did you have one for 3rd Class?”

Up until that point we only had the poll for 4th Class. It was such a great idea that we decided to create a series of polls that covers 4th Class through 1st Class where you can vote how you obtained your firing time for each level of certification.

This series of polls is unique compared to previous polls. It allows you to have multiple votes “3 votes in total”. This is because if you had a similar experience like myself, you might have obtained firing time towards a certification at multiple locations.

Here is how I obtained my firing time for each certification throughout my Power Engineering career.

4th Class: Worked at a Gas Plant

3rd Class: Worked at a Gas Plant

2nd Class: Worked at a Gas Plant and Oilsands or SAGD Facility

1st Class: Worked at a Oilsands or SAGD Facility

For an example of a company in each type of industry listed below, check out the linked post above 4th Class Power Engineering Jobs For Steam Time
