DJ Composites is looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team. Currently we are looking for a Power Engineer.
The Power Engineer will report directly to the Facilities Manager
Duties and Responsibilities:
To ensure the following processes and equipment are operated and maintained in a safe and efficient manner and in complete compliance with the regulations of the Newfoundland and Labrador Boiler and Pressure Vessels Act:
Hot water heating boilers
Air compressors
Air Blowers
Quadraplex Vacuum Systems
Cooling Tower
Plate Heat Exchangers
Chillers
AHU’s
HVAC
Building Perimeter Checks
Responsible for all Ancillary Equipment
Carry out ice and snow control on walkways, emergency doors, etc. as and when required
Carry out facility repairs and maintenance (ex: painting, plumbing and grounds)
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications:
Hold a current 4thClass Power Engineering Certificate, with considerable experience working in that capacity
Completion of an Industrial Water Treatment course
Good organizational and record-keeping skills
Familiarity with General Safety Practices
Have a working knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning
Ability to work with minimal supervision
