The technician will be required to work Monday-Friday and must be available to rotate on-call duties with other members of the team for weekend and holidays equipment checks. The incumbent must compliment a team-oriented, fast-paced, work environment but must also be able to perform duties on their own once trained in the operation of systems within the Complex facilities. Applicants must have an operating knowledge of technologies used in today’s heating and cooling systems including work experience in one or more of the following areas:
Firetube boilers (low pressure steam) and auxiliary equipment, vapor compression refrigeration systems including chillers and walk in cold rooms, ventilation, air compressors, emergency backup generators, water treatment systems, building automation system, electronic and pneumatic controls, fire alarm and sprinkler systems.
Monitor and inspect heating/cooling systems to ensure plant systems are functioning properly.
Assist during routine systems testing.
Provide regular maintenance to machinery and equipment used for HVAC services to partners and Complex facilities.
Analyze and record instrument readings as required and maintain daily logs for maintenance and safety processes.
Operate automated or computerized control systems.
Perform corrective action or minor repairs to machinery and equipment. While on call, employees are required to be available 24/7 to answer any after-hours alarms or emergencies.
Coordinate life safety device inspections including fire alarm/sprinkler system, back flow prevention, gas detection calibrations, fire suppression systems, elevators, backup generator, pressure vessels.
Record Site utility meter readings including water, natural gas, and electrical.
Hold a valid Class 5 NB driver’s license or equivalent, with no prior convictions.
Must possess an up-to-date criminal record check. Successful candidates will be required to successfully obtain additional federal security clearances as part of their employment with MFCC.

Pay: $54,915.00-$60,661.00 per year
