Position:
Maintenance Power Engineer
Reporting to:
Maintenance Supervisor
The Maintenance Power Engineer is responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of all electrical equipment and systems in a food processing plant. This includes performing daily pre-operational inspections and necessary repairs.
Main Duties:
Perform preventative maintenance and repair of production equipment as per work order requests, equipment stoppages, or breakdowns.
Adhere to and utilize company policies, procedures, and HACCP regulations.
Ensure a safe work environment for co-workers, customers, and visitors.
Work in a safe and responsive manner, respecting workplace safety policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
4th Class Power Engineering (training provided if the successful candidate lacks experience).
Maintenance experience.
Ability to work rotating shifts.
Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration systems, with the ability to use power and manual tools.
Opportunity for in-house training towards a Millwright Journeyman Certificate.
Basic computer knowledge and math skills.
Ability to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00-$30.46 per hour
