Leduc Regional Housing Foundation is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual for a permanent, full-time Journeyman Plumber ‘A’ Class Gas Fitter position working 75 hours bi-weekly. Reporting to the Asset Manager, the Journeyman Plumber will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, repairs and emergencies associated with plumbing and heating requirements. This position is part of the maintenance team, that work together to maintain numerous buildings in the Leduc Region. The individual will be required to read blueprints and specifications to maintain plumbing systems. He or she will work using safe work practices on a wide range of HVAC related equipment such as hydronic boilers, make up air and air handling systems, air conditioning and troubleshooting for minor repairs to HVAC systems. The successful candidate will ensure that a high quality of service is provided to all internal and external customers.

Qualifications:

· Journeyman Plumber Certificate (Red Seal) with 5 or more years in facility maintenance as a plumber and gas fitter

· Gas Fitter Class A Ticket required

· Minimum 2 years’ experience in plant, building or routine maintenance operations

· 5th Class Power Engineering certificate an asset

Current Backflow certification.

· Experience with commercial kitchen equipment, desired.

Computer literate and experience with enterprise dispatch systems.

Strong background in trouble shooting controls, HVAC and boilers, with 5 years experience required.

Possess a valid class 5 driver’s license and satisfactory Driver’s Abstract

· W.H.M.I.S. Certificate

· Satisfactory Criminal Record check including Vulnerable Sector Check.

Standard First Aid Certificate.
