Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager the Millwright will work closely with members of the Engineering & Maintenance Team, carrying out tool setup for production, assisting with maintenance and repair of plant equipment and supporting preventive maintenance strategies.

The Millwright is expected to follow safe work practices and procedures and actively participate in the process of identifying and resolving workplace health and safety concerns. Due to the nature of the position the flexibility to work overtime on relatively short notice is required.

Responsibilities

Operates hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes and jacks to position machine and tool parts during installation and set-up
Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, steam, hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts
Clean, lubricate and perform routine maintenance work on machinery
Document and maintain maintenance records in the CMMS system
Qualifications and Skills

Journeyman Millwright
4th Class Power Engineering Certificate preferred but not necessary
Computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook)
Willingness to learn and train junior level colleagues
Team spirit
Sense of responsibility
Self motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision once properly trained
Must have own transportation and a valid drivers license
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $29.00-$37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
