Pool Maintenance Supervisor

We are searching for a full-time Pool Maintenance Supervisor who is responsible for water chemistry, operation of all pool-related equipment, and general facility maintenance at the Steinbach Aquatic Centre.

Your duties will include:

·         Provide supervision, training, and mentorship to Pool Maintenance staff.

·         Ensure water chemistry in all pools meets or exceeds industry standards and legislation.

·         Ensure water samples are regularly submitted for testing; communicate with the Public Health Inspector.

·         Perform regular inspections and maintenance of building, mechanical equipment, pool tanks, sauna, slides, diving boards, and change rooms.

·         Perform regular cleaning procedures in all pools.

·         Assist with setup and/or movement of equipment for special events.

·         Ensure and assist with facility site cleanup and snow clearing.

·         Schedule Pool Maintenance staff.

·         Assist with Pool Maintenance staff reviews, and on-boarding.

Requirements:

·         5th Class Power Engineer preferred or the ability to obtain.

·         Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certificate.

·         Two years of supervisory experience preferred.

·         Mechanical aptitude.

·         Physically capable of repetitive lifting.

·         Ability to effectively communicate in English.

Special Requirements:

·         Valid Manitoba driver’s license in good standing.

·         Criminal Record & Child Abuse Registry Checks.

·         Must be available to work some evening and weekend shifts, and unscheduled call-ins.
