About this Opportunity

This position is a full-time contract role. The chosen candidate will need their own company to contract through. Reporting to the Production Foreman, this position will place a priority on health, safety and environment. The chosen candidate will have a full working knowledge of sour production facilities, work independently and be capable of operating sour gas compressors, plants, oil battery facilities and associated wells. Candidates residing in Edson AB are preferred. A camp position is also available.

Responsibilities:

Environment, Health & Safety must be a priority
Support and initiate safe work practices, following all Paramount policies and procedures
Conduct routine monitoring and maintenance of producing wells, test facilities, and plant facilities
Participate and follow compliance initiatives including O & M manuals, MOC, pipelines, vessels, tanks and PSVs
Ensure operations are carried out in a cost-effective manner
Conduct monthly LOE and production tracking
Identifying deficiencies and recommending corrections to existing procedures to ensure the assigned field meets performance standards
Contribute to the team achievement of meeting business, environmental, health and safety targets
Maintenance and monitoring of facilities in general
Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent
4th Class Power Engineering and/or completed GPO/PFO certificate is required
Minimum of 5 years’ operating experience
Valid H2S and First Aid certifications along with a valid Class 5 Driver’s License
Working knowledge of gas compression and dehydration
Plunger lift experience
Self-starter and able to work independently with minimal supervision, time management and organizational effectiveness are critical to this position
Positive attitude and a sense of teamwork
Able to identify opportunities to improve operations production, activities, processes and procedures
A disciplined work ethic, self-motivated, positive attitude and strong desire to contribute is essential
Good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs. Must be able to learn, adhere and work with all Paramount based software programs
Will be required to work an 8 day on and 6 days off shift (10 hour days). Must be willing to be on call and work overtime when required.
