4th / 5th Class Power Engineer / Maintenance Tech
Looking for an experienced 4th Class Power Engineer (5th class will be considered depending on experience) that is an energetic, team player. This opportunity is great for someone that wants to expand their knowledge in the maintenance field. Our plant has a variety of equipment a maintenance tech will benefit from to grow there maintenance knowledge/career. Gate Gourmet also has been designated as a millwright apprentice facility, hours can be accumulated towards millwright hours
Key responsibilities include:
carrying out general repairs as required within and the exterior of the facility
Carrying out repairs on equipment, plumbing, electrical, refrigeration, motor controls, pump seals, and motor bearings
Welding and fabricating
preventative maintenance
Monitoring and maintaining two high pressure boilers and 2 low pressure boilers
general upkeep of the facility in a 24/7 steam & refrigeration plant
troubleshoot and repair industrial kitchen equipment

Qualifications:
Must have a 5th or 4th Class Power Engineering certificate
Minimum 1 year experience as a maintenance tech working on electrical, refrigeration, plumbing, welding, commercial kitchen equipment, trouble shooting electrical faults and motor controls required in a 24/7 unionized plant.

This is a hands on PART – Time Position,
Shift work / flexibility to work evenings/ graveyards for vacation coverage / sick calls
Must be available to work at least 3 days in a week
