Our three manufacturing plants are located in British Columbia, where we have seen great success. We are thrilled to announce that our newest plant in Paris Ontario is now operational, and we are looking to recruit for a 4th Class Power Engineer to support the afternon shift.

The responsibilities:

Provide technical support to Plant Manager in the facility and plant maintenance.
Responsible for boiler operation, maintenance, and water quality testing.
Responsible for actioning against production machine maintenance requirements as defined by computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Responsible for performing troubleshooting on equipment and machinery.
Coordinate and work closely with production to minimize machine downtime.
Responsible for reporting any equipment maintenance and repairs issues to the Plant Manager and Line Leaders.
Responsible for any tools, parts and lubricants used in maintenance or repair to properly store after completion of each task.
Ensure that the necessary safety protocol is followed based on WSIB and company safety standards.
Other job-related duties and projects, as assigned.
What you bring to our team:

Grade 12 Diploma, or equivalent.
Valid TSSA approved 4th class power engineering certificate required.
Forklift Certified.
Demonstrate experience in mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic service and repair.
Demonstrate experience in boiler operation, maintenance, and repair.
Demonstrate analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot production issues.
Great attention to detail with the ability to be accurate and thorough.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize.
Good verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively, tactfully, and professionally to internal and external stakeholders.
Understanding of QMS (Quality Management System) as they relate to this position.
Compensation:Ā The pay for this role is between $29.00 – $33.00 per hour, with an additional shift premium of $0.50 per hour.
