The Opportunity:

We are seeking a customer service focused Power Engineer to operate and maintain our Steam Distribution System, including boiler plant operations, steam, hot and chilled water plants and distribution systems and building services. You will:

Assist other Service Engineers as directed in the operation and maintenance of the Steam and Hot Water distribution systems.
Assist with repair or new installation of building services.
Operate equipment as necessary – manhole blowers, pumps, etc.
Transport materials from plant or suppliers’ premises to the job site.
Read and record all building consumption meters at month end and as required during the month.
Assist in the removal, rebuild and recording of all service line distribution equipment e.g., Pressure Reducing Valve’s, pilots, traps, drums, etc.
You may be required to work as Assistant Engineer on shift.
Other duties as required for the safety, improvement, and day-to-day operation of the Plant and distribution system.

Qualifications and Experience:

Hold a valid 3rd Class Power Engineering Certificate.

Other relevant trade qualifications or certificates are considered an asset.
Minimum of 3 – 5 years of related experience, including chillers, chilled water systems, instrumentation, electrical, HVAC and pipe fitting experience.
