Role Description
Under the direction of the Production Shift Lead, the Field Operator plays a crucial role in the daily production of bio-oil by operating and maintaining equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality output. Working closely with the operations team and other cross-functional teams, the Field Operator actively monitors, troubleshoots, and maintains production equipment to support seamless operations.
Key Responsibilities
Operate, monitor, and maintain production equipment to ensure safe, reliable, and optimal performance.
Oversee the safe and efficient operation of production equipment, ensuring all processes align with quality specifications and production volume targets.
Control and adjust processes as needed to achieve production goals while maintaining high-quality standards.
Lead and assist with maintenance and repair activities to optimize equipment functionality and minimize downtime.
Record and maintain detailed logs of equipment performance, anomalies, and process variations to support timely corrective actions.
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-maintained workspace, contributing to a safety-conscious and quality-focused team environment.
Skills and Experience
At least 5 years of experience in a similar role
Solid understanding of monitoring and maintaining operational equipment.
Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to work confidently and effectively with complex technical systems.
Passionate about contributing to the success and growth of high-performance operations teams.
Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to self-manage while fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
Proven commitment to safety and environmental stewardship, serving as a champion for both.
Critical thinker with excellent time management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Thrives in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team setting.
Education
4th Class Power Engineer certification required
Progress toward or possession of a 3rd Class Power Engineer certification is considered an asset.

$50 – $55 per hour
