About the Opportunity
The Chief Engine Operator is responsible for maintaining safety standards and procedures in accordance with recognized national and provincial standards as well as the organizations standards. Participates in coordinating the operation, maintenance and repair of the boiler and chiller plants and associated systems by performing duties including but not limited to: maintaining a preventative maintenance program for the plants and their associated systems, making periodic inspections of the plants and their associated systems, assisting the Manager in the operation and maintenance of the plants as per applicable standards; recommending the selection of equipment and supplies and any alteration of physical facilities for the plants; determining appropriate manpower and work scheduling to ensure the efficient running of the plants.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
2nd Class Power Engineer Certificate required
3 years experience in a healthcare setting preferred
Proficiency in equipment, tools and vehicles related to the work environment
Travel may be required, access to reliable transportation is required
Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred

Hours
Permanent Full Time; 75 Hours Bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits
$32.51 – $36.54 Hourly
This position is currently eligible for a Market Adjustment of $5,000 per year. Eligibility for a Market Adjustment is reviewed periodically.
