Description: As a Physical Plant Attendant, you may perform a variety of skilled maintenance and repair work on patient and hospital equipment and intermediate mechanical systems to ensure safety and efficient operation of the building systems and equipment. You may utilize your maintenance skills and experience in the performance of preventative and demand maintenance within the exterior and interior of the building. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the CUPE 41 Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:Required Qualifications: Must have a 5th Class Power Engineering Certificate or equivalent experience. 1 to 2 years related experience working in a computerized maintenance environment which includes operating and maintaining a variety of grounds keeping and building maintenance equipment and tools. Must have a valid Class 5 driver’s license.
Additional Required Qualifications:Must demonstrate technical problems solving abilities and be mechanically inclined. Must be able to use required tools and equipment related to maintenance repair and testing. Must be able to communicate clearly in English, verbally and in writing.
Preferred Qualifications:May be required to hold a certification in order to operate mobile equipment.
