Here is your opportunity to work closely with our FM&E Team in a Downton Calgary Facility. We are currently looking for a qualified Maintenace Worker 4 with 4th class ABSA Alberta Certification who can work independently as well working with a small FM&E team. If you have a strong Team Member Skillset. Are an Independent worker, able to pitch in when called upon. Competent in your abilities and want to grow within the organization. This position is under limited supervision and preforms a full range of hands-on maintenance skillset. Utilizing your initiative and judgement in accordance with AHS policies and Guidelines. Follow and practice current ABSA regulations and CSA standards as it pertains to this position. Strong background in monitoring, testing and executing tasked based work. Respond to regular Planned Maintenance requests, Demand Maintenance Requests as well as Emergent situation. This may also include some after-hours work as needed.
Description:
As a Maintenance Worker IV, you will perform a variety of highly skilled and complex maintenance and repair work requiring considerable initiative and judgment in determining the appropriate work methods consistent with standards, regulations and procedures. You will utilize your supervisory and/or maintenance skills and experience to perform preventative maintenance and repair duties on specialized equipment and building control systems, and to provide leadership and direction to other maintenance staff in order to meet operational requirements. In addition, you will perform specialized machine repairs, as well as the maintenance and monitoring of systems and equipment. You may be responsible to resolve escalated operational issues; act as a delegate for the Manager on operational issues; participate in the recruitment and selection of new staff; assisting the design and implementation of preventative maintenance programs; estimate project costs; and liaise with outside agencies and contractors.

Required Qualifications:Completion of post-secondary education in a related field and/or technical certification in a related field required or 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate as per ABSA kW rating guidelines where boiler support is necessary.
Additional Required Qualifications:Must hold valid 4th Class Power Engineering Certification issued by ABSA. Minimum 3 years building operator experience in a institutional or hospital setting. Must have 3 years of experience using building management systems. Siemens Insight Preferred Must have basic computer skills using a Windows operating system. Must be able to communicate in English, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to work 12-hour shifts (Days, Evenings and Some Weekends). Must be able to stand/walk for long periods. Must be physically fit and be able to regularly lift 20kg to waist height daily.
