Plant Operator

We are seeking a skilled and motivated 4th Class Power Engineer / Plant Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation of various plant equipment and systems, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards are met. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Duties (include, but not limited to):

– Operate and monitor plant equipment, ensuring efficient production processes.

– Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on machinery to prevent downtime.

– Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs as necessary.

– Collaborate with engineering teams to implement system design improvements.

– Assist in project management tasks, ensuring timelines and specifications are met.

– Maintain accurate records of operations, maintenance activities, and inventory levels.

– Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to promote a safe working environment.

Skills/Experience

– 4th Class Power Engineer Certificate

– Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in plant operations.

– Experience with project management principles, including planning and execution.

– Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings related to plant systems.

– Background in electrical engineering or systems engineering is a plus.

– Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Wage:

Wage is negotiable depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $28.00 per hour
