4th Class Power Engineer

The 4th Class Power Engineer handles the operations of boilers, refrigerators and pressurized systems in our industrial plant. This individual is responsible for the boilers of the company and is also expected to work in the plant on the machinery.

Responsibilities:

Ensure areas of responsibility meet goals and objectives
Work alongside the maintenance team with set up, troubleshooting.
Oversees and is responsible for yearly code inspection certificates are acquired (Elec. permit, Boiler inspections, Fire Alarm Inspection etc.)
Set priorities for preventative maintenance work orders, maintenance requisitions and scheduled work
Responsible for short-term planning and keeping appropriate authorities aware of decisions being made
Maintain contacts with local, provincial, and national officials with regards to any activities that could have a material impact on the business
Comply with safety regulations and ensure high quality/cleanliness of departmental
Initiate safety concerns and makes judgement on the best methods of completing tasks
Requirements:

Experience as a Power Engineer
Experience with Technical Safety BC
Minimum one to three years of experience
Has valid 4th class power engineer certification
Must have solid knowledge of building/ mechanical, electrical systems (MEP)
Licensed Electrical/Mechanical Technical Graduate an asset
Strong organizational skills
Strong oral & written skills, proven ability to communicate in an ESL work environment
Ability to work shift on off shifts and follow up on trouble calls as required
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $39.30 per hour
