SUMMARY OF TASKS: As a certified 3rd Class Licensed Power Engineer, you will work as part of our Engineering Team as a Shift Engineer covering the afternoon shift. The role requires you to operate, monitor, troubleshoot and maintain low water volume/high pressure steam boilers, steam/condensate and domestic water distribution systems. You will also perform chemical analysis on process water and adjust systems to maintain operations, including the handling of reagents, chemicals and chemical injection equipment, air compressors, waster water treatment, HVAC systems, auxiliary and associated equipment, and other related processes. This position also includes housekeeping in the boiler room.

JOB TYPE: Permanent, Full-time

SHIFT: Afternoons (Sunday 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM, Monday – Thursday 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM). On occasion this role will be required to be on-call.


  • 3rd Class Power Engineer Certification
  • 1 year industrial experience
  • Able to work in confined spaces such as boilers
  • Some heavy lifting
  • Experience using MS Office
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Experience with wastewater systems is considered an asset
  • Strong attention to detail is a must
  • Well organized and self-motivated
  • Critical thinker and ability to problem solve independently
  • Must live within 45 minutes of the facility for on-call requirements.
